It could be my ignorance, but I'm unfamiliar with this use of "hazed" to mean (presumably?) "confused". Are you sure "hazed" is the word you mean?

It doesn't seem quite the right word to me. It is certainly possible to be "dazed", but I wouldn't ever say I was dazed "as to what to do" or "about what I should do".
