Essay & Composition Writing

I am applying for scholarship for internship in France and there is this essay..how studying in France help develop your future career

I am an undergraduate in information technology. My study focuses on communication networks, discreet algorithms and distributed systems. Through my study I feel more and more interests in analysis and design of sensor networks and algorithms for distributed decisions.

France has always fascinated me from a very young age. It was attracted to it not only by its culture and history but also by the various scientific developments that have taken place in France and had helped shape the world. My first influence with France when I was in 8th class and learned about Blaise Pascal and his contributions to science ranging from atmospheric pressure to calculator.

By the end of my schooling I had developed a particularly keen interest in communication systems and always wondered how these mobile and wireless devices worked and this influenced in taking Information Technology as my major in college .I regularly to take part in robotic competitions in which I have developed many wireless robots . I also did a course in Cisco Network Device Administration. I am pretty much interested in doing masters in information and communication technology after I have completed my graduation.

I was in second year in my college when I came in contact with one of my seniors who had a chance to do a research internship at Universite Pierre et Marie Curie and he explained me how good the research facilities were available in the university and how knowledgeable and experienced the professors were. From that time I was more influenced for doing my higher studies in France.

I learned about Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) which was founded in 1939 is one of the largest research organisation in the Europe more than 1370 laboratories and research centres and that in France total research and development expenditure amounted more than 39 billion in 2007. With various institutes like Telecom ParisTech dedicated solely to telecommunication and wireless communication I think if I get a chance to do research and masters in them it will not only help me gain knowledge in the field but will also be a potential boost for my career.

In third year in my college it is compulsory to do a research project or an internship in the summer, and for that my first choice was France. I had stared contacting professors from various universities in France that were conducting research in communication networks basically wireless networks and got positive replies from many professors. The project which I was offered by Prof Hacene Fouchal form University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne was the kind of project I was really looking for and was greatly delighted when I got it.

University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne of one the top university in France doing leading research in communication networks. They have the Centre de Recherche en STIC doing quality research in the fields of telecommunications, microelectronics and automatic data and signal processing. And I think doing a project there would be a great learning opportunity for me and will also able me to apply my knowledge in my area of interest.

With all the above factors I think studying in France would be a great opportunity for me and it will help me not only in my country but also worldwide to get advantage in my field of work.
