"I always get mixed up," is good as a stand-alone sentence.

We also say, "I always mix up (confuse) A and/with B.

"I always get A mixed up with B."

"I always get mixed up between A and B."

"I always get mixed up [when] using A and B."

Your sentence could be, "I always mix up the names of movies made by J & F." (the several movies made by the team J & F ? - or the movies made by J and the movies made by F ?)

I think it's a little ambiguous.

Is/are "Jackson and Faustus" a team of producers? - or are they a comedy team, like Cheech and Chong, or Laurel and Hardy? - or are they two actors who do not necessarily work together, but have something about them which has linked them in my mind?

Are "movie names" the names of "characters" in a film? - or the "titles" of films made by these producers?

You might want to think about adjectives "distinct" vs "separate." I know "distinct" is often used as in your example, and "separate" may not be what you mean.

While I think of the verb "to distinguish" as to make clear the difference between A and B, I think of "to make A and B distinct" as to make each, or both, clear.

I believe "to make A distinct from B" does indeed focus more on the difference between them.
