I already had an acidity issue, and having had...

Hi

Is this sentence fully natural? Any suggestions please? I am not at all sure about my choice of the bold words.

I already had an acidity issue, and having had such a fulfilling/fulsome meal, I was the worse for wear.

Thanks,

Tom

Hi I think I'd say 'I had a too filling a meal'. But both of your own words are good. Fulsome is good but, in the UK, nowadays, it's quite old-fashioned.

I haven't heard anyone use these words regarding meals. Filling is the natural choice.
