"I already feel better about it having talked to you."

Hi all

Could you please comment on this sentence? I wrote this as an instant message but I thought it was stilted when I reread it. Do you think it would have sounded more natural whilst keeping the original meaning if I had written "I already feel better having talked to you about it"?

Thank you for helping me out.

Best wishes

Both those sentences are natural. Strictly speaking they do not mean exactly the same because "about it" modifies different things. However, the difference is unlikely to be important in practice because we assume the one from the other.
