I act strange VS. I act strangely

I act strange VS. I act strangely

I have learned that both adverbs and adjectives follow the word act and then I was wondering if there is a meaning difference between them?

Thank you so much as usual in advance.

Hans51 I was wondering if there is a meaning difference between them? There is no difference there except that 'strange' is less formal.

It’s act strangely. You can’t “act strange”. Everybody gets this wrong. Sick of reading people’s horrible English.
