Hypocrite hypocritical

People say they have never heard this, but how would you say it?

He is a hypocrite toward me. With everyone else he is upfront. With me, he claims to like but people say he doesn't.

I saw this on internet, is it correct?

I'm asking this because in no dictionary does it say 'hypocrite toward someone' or 'hypocritical toward someone' Is this common usage?
I've heard 'You're a hypocrite" or 'You are so hypocritical' but never 'toward someone' because what if he's not hypocritical with/toward me but only toward some people.

My problem with the sentence is this part: "With me, he claims to like but people say he doesn't."

You're missing who or what he claims to like.
Or do you mean "He tells me he likes me, but everyone else says he doesn't"?

Hello Barbara,

He is a hypocrite toward me.
He is hypocritical toward me.

I am trying to say what you said: He tells me he likes me, but everyone else says he doesn't because he tells others that he doesn't like me.

What I really would like to know if you could use 'toward or with' with hypocrite or hypocritical?

He is a hypocrite t
