Hyphenation

"A cycle-route is of a consistent (high) quality throughout its length" "or they can show that cycle-traffic is given priority over motor traffic", "The width of cycle-paths and lanes influences", do we need hyphen for "cycle-route", cycle-traffic, cycle-paths, please advise

This post is definitely déjà vu. No hyphen required unless it serves as an adjective (which does not occur in your sample). If 'lanes' applies to cycles as well, then perhaps 'cycle-paths and -lanes' would make the relationship clearer.
