Hyphenation

Do we need to hyphenate these words: "cyclists' wishes for cycle-routes have mainly", "they can show that cycle-traffic is given priority" "The width of cycle-paths and lanes influences" Please advise whether hyphenation is required for cycle-routes, cycle-traffic and cycle-paths. Author has used consistently hyphenation for cycle-??? throughout the article.

I see no reason for any hyphens in your quotation, Guest. Even 'cycle paths and lanes' is clear without hyphenation. Hyphens are often not legislated, but are tools for clarity.
