Hyphenated

Hello!

One of my native friends sent me the following post. However, I don't seem to have understood it. Could you please tell me what the message says in a simple way?

Actually I know what hyphen is and what it means. Hyphenated means a word written with a hyphen. But I don't understand why hyphenated and Oh, how ironic are written in yellow while the Non-hyphenated is white.

The "irony" of the sign is that the only hyphen used in it is in the expression "non-hyphenated".
The word "hyphenated" isn't hyphenated.
