Hyphenate adjectives after to-be verbs?

Would you leave these predicate adjectives as is (no hyphens)?

The technology is state of the art.
(Not: .. is state-of-the-art.)

The report was up to date.
(Not: .. was up-to-date.)

The technology is cutting edge.
(Not: .. is cutting-edge.

The test is multiple choice and fill in the blank.
(Not: .. is multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank.)

Do you agree with the unhyphenated, original versions in all examples above?
