Hyphen usage

Hi,
First of all, congratulations for the forum and keep on "foruing"!!

I am a portuguese english student and I am now doing some research about hyphens and its usage.
I would like to know if the following words need or need not an hyphen:
photo-activation;
osseo-integration;
drug-addict (and drug-addicted);

Also and if possible, I would to get some suggestions of some (hand)books or prompts where I could read something about the rules of usage of the Hyphen in English.
