Hyphen Query

Is it right to hyphenate the writing out of, say, "300 years" or "300 feet," so that they become "three-hundred years" and "three-hundred feet?"

There are no universal hyphen rules. It's optional. I wouldn't do it.

Right, so would that apply to the two examples I gave, since the the nouns in those cases are "years" and "feet?"
