Hyphen help!!

Can anyone tell me if

1. right sided is hypenated ex."right sided weakness"

2. left hemispheric is hyphenated ex. " left hemispheric infarct"

I have a medical transcription book but it is still difficult to tell which words should be hyphenated.

thanks so much

Hi Amber, I would say you have to write a hyphen in "right-sided weakness" and you can leave the the second as how it is. Better wait for a teacher's reply, but I think I got this right Cheers, Chris

I'd go with

  1. right-sided weakness

  2. left-hemispheric infarct
Both ("right-sided" and "left hemispheric") were used as adjectives.
