Hyphen and adverly with "LY"

Hello,

I know that you should not hyphen adverbs ending in "ly."

But is "early" one of these adverbs?

So, should "early-stage depression" be hyphenated or not?

It seems like "early-onset Alzeiheimers" is hyphenated...

Please help. Thank you.

Hi, It's fine. Or you can reword a little, eg He is in a/the early stage of depression. Clive
