Hypen and Punctuation

Hello,

I was just wondering, is this sentence punctuated correctly? In particular, the use of a hyphen in "copy-edit", I keep finding conflicting information in dictionaries about how to punctuate this verb. They vary from "copy-edit" to "copyedit". What exactly is the difference?

Most recently, she has begun to write her first novel and copy-edit for the online London-based CultNoise Magazine (In italics, obviously!).

My dictionary offers copy-edit. I find that easier to read than copyedit.
But I'd usually write it as
. . . she has begun to write her first novel and work as a copy editor for the online . . .
