Micawber, I want to understand when I can use .... "it hurts a lot" and when other times i can use "it is hurting a lot" through giving some examples.
for example is it correct if I say ....

or
2. I hammered my thumb this morning and it is hurting a lot now.
both correct?

sunny123. I hammered my thumb
