Hurt or be hurt

Hi teachers,

A mother told her son: I'll make sure you'll never hurt again

Is there a reason "be hurt" not used here? [Is this sentence question correct?]

Thanks

TN

No, there is no particular reason. 'hurt' is one of those verbs that can be used both ways with only a slight difference in meaning.
