Hurt image

Would you please be kind enough to help me correct the paragraph? Thanks.

I’m Candy. I’m a person who looks demure and quiet but actually is very chatty and noisy. I like singing, and I often use my “beautiful” voice to bother my friends while they are doing something. I like dancing too, though I am always an awkward dancer whose posture and movement look funny. Sometimes I make people laugh by mimicking somebody’s movement, because I like to bring joy to others. When I sense tension in a group of people, I would do something comical to make them laugh and I usually don’t care about whether it’ll hurt my image.

Here it means that most of my friends consider me a gentle, shy girl by judging from my appearance. To their surprise, however, I can do something funny, comical to amuse them. There is a striking contrast between my appearance (public image) and what I actually do for them. According to my personal point of view, I regard being a gentle, shy girl as good public image; conversely, being a comica

I think you understand the expression 'hurt my image' correctly. I'm just wondering what image your friends actually have of you. But really, from a grammar point of view, that does not matter. Bear in mind that your self image is not always the same as your public image.

Why do you consider being comical or funny as 'bad? In what way are you 'naughty'?

Surely, it's a very corny, inappropriate concept that being comical or funny as bad. I used the wrong and improper words here. What I want to express is as follows:
Candy assumed that judging from her appearance and daily behavior, everybody considers her a gentle and shy girl who won't do something comical or funny to make people happy or laugh. To their surprise, she actually did. She h

OK.

As I said, I think you understand the expression.
