The sentence is correct. An example of enjoy: I was enjoying the sunset when my phone rang.

You mean in progressive tenses. There is no such list as there are thousands, perhaps tens of thousands verbs.

But still I am in confusion. Now am reading a grammar book and there is a list of verbs given that do not get the -ing ending in Progressive Tenses, e.g. love, like, share, depend, intend, hate etc. etc. and hurry is one of them.

Now I am really confused.

If you firmly believe what your grammar book says, why did you ask in the first place?

You mean that the verbs you mention arenot used in progressive tenses. All verbs that are used in the progressive tenses have the ing ending, of course.

It is true that many of the verbs in your list are rarely used in the progressive tenses. Perhaps some of them are never used in that way. I don't recall seeing or hearing I am liking him, for instance. However, it may not be wise to make a list like yours and say that there are no exceptions. English is used in many ways, and love, for example, does occur in progressive tenses occasionally. It may not always be used correctly in a progressive tense. The hamburger restaurant McDonald's advertises: i'm loving it. They don't even capitalize I. Your grammar book would suggest: I love it. That might not attract so much attention, though.

Elvis Presley sings in one of his songs: I'm loving my baby, and my baby loves me. Wrong or right? It's a matter of opinion.

Yes, Cool Breeze,but the reason why I got confused and decided to ask here from you is that I saw this written in a grammar book and then another sentence which says a completely different thing; a sentence which has a Verb in Progressive which shouldn't be in progressive as described in the grammar book.

Anyways..thanks a lot again. Now am on the way to understand it:)
