Hung up to dry

"My shirt is hung up to dry after a water cleaning"

Hi, is the dry a verb or an adjective?

Is it also possible to say,

"My shirt is hung up to get dried after a water cleaning"?

Thank you

Verb. "hung up to get dried" is not very natural ("hung up to get dry " is more likely, with "dry" as adjective, though the original "to dry" is best). "after a water cleaning" is not natural.
