Hundred-dollar handshakes

Hi all! Anyone knows the meaning of "hundred-dollar handshakes"?

Thanks for attention!

Top answer

Maybe the handshakes of two businessmen who have just concluded a very important deal? (although in that case, the value of the handshake would be much higher, I guess) Or from a journalist's point of view, it could be the handshake of political/religious ennemies/adversaries, and a picture of that handshake is worth a lot of money?

Maybe the acquisition of a player?

It sounds like a 'backhander'. (Money surreptitiously changing hands in return for a favour.)

Ahhh yes... With the notes between two sweaty palms?

Very much so. Rolled into very thin cylinders, I expect, and held against the underside of the sweaty palm with the thumb; then deftly transferred into the opposing sweaty palm during the handshake.

Try this at home, with a friend. Hours of fun.
