Humans and the environment

As you all know, the environment is a natural factor, and the man-made factors in a security system with each other, and surrounding people, affect the production life, existence, and development of people and nature. And humans are the factors that have a great influence on the environment. So the topic I want to talk to you about today is "Humans and the environment."

It is not obvious that the situation of the environment is an alarming issue globally. Environmental pollution destroys the living space of all creatures on Earth, affecting the health of everyone. And this situation is still increasing day by day. If it continues for a long time, it will be very dangerous.

Recently, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has released "startling" statistics in the environmental report. Specifically, every year, Vietnam consumes 10,000 tons of plant protection chemicals, 2.3 tons of domestic waste, 7 million tons of industrial solid waste, and dozens of other wastes.

• More than 250 industrial parks have discharged 550,000m3 of wastewater to the environment every day. It is worth mentioning that not every industrial park discharges waste when it is properly treated. Mostly, in Vietnam, about 615 industrial clusters, only 5% of them have wastewater treatment systems by the standards and processes set out by the Ministry of Environment. The rest are discharged directly or not treated according to standards. This does not include the thousands of medical facilities that generate waste every day.
• Despite releasing a series of statistics to let people know the alarming level of environmental pollution, these conditions show no signs of stopping and are still increasing. That creates a danger to the living environment and human health.

So, what serious consequences have humans caused the indiscriminate discharge of waste? Here are some of the most common types of pollution:

First, we will talk about the state of the land. People have used forest land to plan the construction of apartments, condominiums, and factories to serve human needs. Every green patch of the Earth is gradually disappearing, which also leads to global warming. In addition, a series of constructions and production areas daily discharge untreated wastewater and chemicals, gradually letting them seep into the soil. In the long run, the land is no longer worth exploiting.

The second is the problem of the water source. Water is a very important part of the life of organisms, but now the water is gradually being exhausted and heavily polluted. While some parts are still trying every day to protect the environment, there are several small ingredients to destroy the water environment. They often throw garbage into ponds, lakes, rivers, and coastal areas and see them as garbage places. Some factories have discharged untreated wastewater to the sea, which leads to mass deaths of marine life. For example, the case of Formosa Ha Tinh discharging wastewater caused a series of dead fish to shock our country in 2016. The phenomenon of seafood died on a large scale, starting in the coastal areas of Ha Tinh and spreading along the coast of Quang Binh, Quang Tri, and Thua Thien-Hue provinces. Oil spills at sea are also one of the causes of water pollution.

We also have air pollution problems. With the current amount of motorbikes and cars, it has accidentally discharged into the environment of very large toxic gases that directly affect human health and other organisms including the atmosphere. Not only that, the construction of many factories makes the air even more polluted when it emits dust every day. These things also lead to global warming.
