Hi Both are correct - humanitarian can be a noun or an adjective There is a slight difference... To say that he was a humanitarian person is to say that he did things that improved the happiness of people and he tried to stop them suffering To say that he was a humanitarian is probably to say that he did those things because he believed in humanitarianism - he had a belief that helping people is the right thing to do You might want to say the first thing without the second. Perhaps he was just a humanitarian person - he did good things but he didn't really think about whether that was what he should do - he just went ahead and did it Dave
