How do you say the 'hull' in University of Hull? Is it similar to the sound of 'ul' in 'culture'?

I don't understand any of anon's advice there but yes, Hull with the ull sound as in cul(ture) or dull is fine and is the standard UK pronounciation.

Some UK accents will say it slightly differently (as in full) but don't worry about that. Unless you have the rest of the accent to match you'll sound silly saying it that way.
