Howlarious!! does this mean it was really full of fun.. Or does it mean it was not as comedy as we expect.

What is the name of the film? That would be useful contextual information.

CalifJim's suggestion that 'howlarious' means 'extremely funny' - that one will 'howl with laughter' - is a possibility. But hilarious already means just that. I, therefore, favour two other possible definitions:
