However, nevertheless

Hi there,
I don't know the subtle differences among 'however','neverthless' and 'nonetheless'. Are however and nevertheless interchangeable in the following sentences.

1."The hike from Irun to Santiago is difficult; nevertheless, I think you can do it."
2. "My friend speaks Spanish; however, he also speaks English."
