Howard Aiken's quote

“Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.”

I am not sure the meaning of the second sentence. How should I understand "ram them down people's throats"? put them into people's throats??

Thanks

To "ram something down someone's throat" means, in this context, to keep people constantly aware of your idea, to the point of annoying them, so it is impossible to ignore it.
