How would you say this?I have 50 $ (in) credit but I can only use for groceries not clothes.  Sometimes next to a restaurants or stores name you see dollar signs. How would you phrase this naturally?I've been asked to either put 1 $,2 $ or 3 $ signs to represent my prices (range). How is one supposed to know which indicates their price range? Does 1 $ mean between 100-500 less or more? It's subjective. Thank you very much

The dollar sign goes before the number, not after. For example, $1, $2, $3.

I don't understand what you mean. What is 100-500? What is the connection between $1 and 100-500?

Rewrite: I've been asked to put one, two, or three dollar signs to represent the price range of meals in my restaurant. How am I supposed to know which indicates the correct range? Does one dollar sign meant between $10 and $20 per person or between $20 and $30. It's subjective.

Answer: It depends where your restaurant is located. In northern California, I would estimate the ranges for one, two, and three dollar signs at below $10, $10 - $30, and above $30.
