2 If you can replace the JUST LIKE with AND, does the sentence differ in mean from if you could replace JUST LIKE with OR?

3 Would you be more inclined to keep the X if you could replace it with A or B?

Thank you doctor D,

I had a few questions

Could you replace "Where" with "in which" in 1 and 2?

Does "rather than replacing it with AND or OR" mean "if you could replace it with AND or OR"

As number 3 and 4 are the same except for the end of the sentence.

What I'm trying to say is "would you be more inclined to keep JUST LIKE i

First: Yes, you can substitute "in which" for "where" in sentences #1 & #2.

Second, No, "rather than replacing.." is not the same as "if you could replace..."

It looks like the problem is sentence #4. It is unclear at first glance what you want to say.

Thank you

What about

Would you be more inclined to keep JUST LIKE if you were to replace it with OR or would you keep it if you were to replace it with AND? meaning would you pick just like over OR more than over AND or vice versa?

Doctor D, do you think I can send you the links to the other threads please?

Thank you

You can add the links to this reply if you wish. I check into English Forums irregularly, so no promises. Also, what is it that you do that you have so many questions?

Hello Doctor D,

Hope everything is going fine.

The reason I have so many answers is because I'm translating a book from french to english, one I originally wrote in french and would like to translate it into english. Here are the 5 threads I'm struggling with a lot.

Hello Doctor D,

Thank you so much for the corrections,

Could you help me with the last link, as I don't know if you missed it, if you ever get a chance

and just these 2 threads that went uncorrected if possible?
