Could you please tell me how you would write this to convey what I'm trying to say?1 Once the anti virus scans a sections, the progress bar moves up in percentages. When the program has finished scanning section 1 of 5 of your computer the progress bar goes from 0% to 20% and by the time it has scanned your whole comp. It's at 100%. The progress bar doesn't fill up progressively but by section.Could you please tell me if you can say " ... how you would write this to convey what I'm trying to say"?Thank you

You would say, "How would you write this to convey what I'm trying to say?" (you would follow would.)

The progress bar doesn't fill up progressively, but by section.

or, for that last sentence, you could say:

The progress bar doesn't fill up progressively, but in 20% increments.

How would you express this thought please?
