How would you explain this clearly

Do you understand the situation? How would you describe so it is understandable?
If you press the down arrow on your remote conrol too fast to go down a list of movies, faster than the cursor can go down the list of movies, the cursor will continue going down the list even after you've stopped pressing the down arrow. If you think the cursor will stop at the movie it is on, you are mistaken.

Thanks

It's perfectly good as it is.

I've added new info - too many times too fast.
Is the repetition of 'faster than the cursor can go down the list of movies,' disturbing? Could I make it so that I am not repeating myself?
How come it is 'at' and then 'on'? - stop at/on the movie it is on/at, Which is best?

Repetition is not often a bad thing, in my experience, especially when you are actually repeating something to make it clearer, as you are doing here.

The person was going to England and in his mind he built England up to be such an amazing country and when he got there he was disappointed.

That is what I am trying to say, do you understand?

"If you build England up too much in your mind, you might be disappointed."

"Build up" includes the ideas of standards and expectations.
