How would you correctly write these 2 sentences in their context?

It's raining heavily and it stops and then rains again.

Between 2 showers I walked the kids to school.

He has an OCD and needs to have either 3, 6, 9, 12 pencils in his pouch.

He likes having pencils in multiples of 3.
