How would you correct this? About weather

I find this structure strange. Is it wrong? How would you correct it?

The student wants to say something about the weather in a place he has visited.

"It was great the fresh air and shinning sun".

Thank you!

First of all, shinning and shining are not the same. You need something different. What you have is a sentence (It was great) followed by two nouns just "hanging in mid-air", completely unattached to anything else!
