Dear teachers,
1/ In the conversation below ,does "How would I know?" mean "How should I know ?" and "How was I to know?"
A: Are credit cards accepted in that country ?
B:How would I know?
2/ In " I wouldn't want to be an accountant because I am terrible at math" , is "I wouldn't want to be an accountant "here replaceable with "I wouldn't like to be an accountant" ?Can I say"I would want to be a teacher to replace "I would like to be a teacher"?

"How would I know" means "How do you think I could have found that out?", "Why do you assume I know it?", e.t.c.
"I wouldn't want to be an accountant" means something like "If I had an opportunity to get a job as accountant, I wouldn't want it.". No, you can't replace "like" with "want" and keep the same meaning.
BTW, Why would an accountant want to know math???
