How would a native properly say these 5 sentences?

Could you please help me make these 5 sentences natural?

1 Do you know what I thought about? I thought we could go out for the day. (sound off?)

2 It's getting cold out./going to get cold out.

3 The second jacket is (at) 50 percent off. (AT optional? How to naturally say this?)

4 We need to set money aside as of /from September.

5 I feel taller with these heels but I hate walking with/in heels.

Thank you

[It depends on the context... You could say, "Do you know what I was thinking? I was thinking that we could go out for the day." ... "...was thinking..." is quite common... "I was just thinking... how about such and such...?"]

It isn't natural to say

"The second jacket is AT 50 percent off. " (AT???)

5 I hate walking in/with flat(s) (shoes) (how would you say this?

Thank you Graeme

It isn't natural to say

"The second jacket is AT 50 percent off. " (AT???) [It might be grammatically ok, but it isn't common. We just say things like "it has/had 50% off." or "it was reduced by 50%" ... it is ambiguous, as it could be interpreted as to do with the size... but although we joke about that sort of thing, we know it refers to the discount.]
