How to write to a potential client

I contacted with a purchasing manager in a company. But he forwarded my msg to John, who is in charge of the products I am selling. And he cc me as well.

Now I am trying to contact with John and introduce my company to him. But I don't know how to start with the letter.

Any ideas?
