How to write: Spring 2012?

Quick question. How do you write in a standalone single line to indicate semester:

Spring 2012

or

Spring, 2012

or

2012, spring

some other way?

Thanks a lot for your kind help!

I'm not clear on what you mean by a "standalone single line."

It's used as part of a title page.

"Spring Semester 2012" would be the correct title. I see no need for a comma.
