How to write sentences that native English speakers understand?

Hello all,

How can I improve my writing skills so that it's widely understood by everyone, particularly, native American and English speakers. Because I've written a simple newsletter and was told that English speakers do not understand some of my phrases. But, then, I showed that article to someone from the Middle East, they understand what I've written.

What should I do? Any advice on what should I read to increase my writing skills?

What do you mean by "native American" and "English" speakers?

Do you mean native speakers of American English and of British English?

Sorry. What I meant was "native speakers of American English and of British English". Anyway, just as you read my newsletter, do you understand? Or have some problems understanding certain sentences?

Okay, do you have suggestion on what I should read? I'm in IT field and I'm involved in writing newsletters most of the time.
