how to write it if its plural?

Is this sentence correct? Is 'even' possible in this context?
The team won't be as big an underdog at home as we were favorite on the road. The odds will be more even at home.

If instead of 'the team' I were to use 'They' what else would I have to change?

Thank you

The two sentences don't make sense. If a team will be the underdog when playing at home, then this would mean that this is a weak team. And if it is a weak team, then it would not be favored playing on the road.
