How to write an introduction letter to Us Embassy.

I am new to this forum and am very glad to find the site. I planning a trip the US and i would like to introduce my self in writing. can i have a sample letter to be able to write it effectively. I intend to visit a friend and of my suppliers over there. please advice THanks
