If you are a RECENT (better word than FRESH) graduate and have little or no work experience, focus on volunteer activities you have had. Also, you can tie your course work to the skills the employer is looking for. For example, if you played in a band while in school, you could mention organizational skills involved in planning programs or planning travel.

  • If you volunteered in a hospital or with a children's group, you can talk about people skills you gained from that.
  • If you have taken courses like statistics or marketing, explain how those apply to the job.
