How to write a request letter of salary information?

hello everyone!

I am tasked to prepare a letter to other universities to ask the specific salary of their faculties...the information that my superior wants to know are the length of service of thier faculty and thier respective salaries as well as the average student population...how sould i write it? pls. help....
