In my opinion, lower secondary school students should be allowed to have fun playing video games for the following reasons. First of all, playing video games is a great way to relax after hard-working hours. According to a recent scientific research, students who plays video games with suitable frequency perform better at school compared to those who don’t. Secondly, video games are a good way to practice reflection. In some video games, players will have to utilize their body movement at a very fast pace. Finally, playing video games also help students acquire knowledge. In some games, especially intellectual games, students can not only improve their knowledge but also revise what they have acquired. However, excessive amount of time spent on video games and inappropriate games may cause students to have both physical and mental problems and poor school performance. In conclusion, playing videos game is not bad but it should be allowed under strict supervision.
