How to write a check

Hi
I usually use my checkcard to buy stuff and rarely use my checkbook. But when I have to write I am not quite confident about it.
For ex:
if the amount is $25.00 then I write: twenty five and 00/100...........Dollars.
if the amount is $2,525.00 then I write two thousand five hundred and twenty five - Do I need to include and 00/100?
If the amount is $2,525.25 then I write two thousand five hundred and twenty five and 25/100?
Can someone show me the right way to write in large amount with cents?
Thanks,
Ky

25, the proper way to write it is "Two thousand five hundred twenty-five and 25/100". Some people will write it like this: "Twenty-five hundred twenty-five and 25/100". Notice that I don't put the word "and" after hundred, although many people do, especially in spoken English.

I'm an elementary school teacher, and Dino is absolutely right... (except for the part about it being okay to write 2500, etc. as "Twentyfive Hundred"). He was right when he said a number such as this should be written as "Two Thousand Five Hundred". Try to remember that the word "and" is only used before the cent amount of ?/100. I second him when I say that if your check is for a round number, a

I love grammatically correct people who follow rules. Thank you! Also, I'm 26 and feel as though most of my generation doesn't follow proper grammar and social etiquette, which makes me want to cry. The second I hear a rule (such as writing out any number under ten, and using numbers for any larger number), I make sure to follow it. So, please please please continue to teach these things! <3
