I have always had trouble putting questions in larger sentences without it sounding awkward or feeling like I made some grammatical error. Here is an example sentence:
"Van Inwagen's question to O'Connor would be, how do these 'reasons' come into being?"
I do not know if just a comma is okay or if a colon or semicolon is necessary. I was hoping you guys could help me out, and tell me the best way to punctuate/arrange this sentence.
Thanks, Hal
