How to word the instruction (instructions)?

Hi. Please help. As to the underlined part, should it be in plural or in the singular? Also, Can any of the four be the correct wording of the instructions (instruction?)?

Instructions (Instruction?): 1) Find out what is wrong with the sentence. 2) Find out what is incorrect about the sentence.
3) Correct the following sentence. 4) The following sentence is incorrect. Please correct it.
