How to use "wish" for futue

Hi,

I've heard that "wish" is used only for the past tense except for sentences such as:

Wish you the best, I wish all the best for you and so on, and for future tense we should use "hope" as in:

I hope you are successful. I hope you gain most advantages from those tasks. And so on.

My question is that, can't we use "wish" for future? for example, how to use "wish" rather than "hope" in the following sentence (and also the above ones) please?

I hope you pass your exams successfully.

Or

I hope you will pass your next exams successfully.

I wouldn't use wish in those sentences. I would probably say something like I hope you pass your exams. or I hope you do well in your exams.

Wish can be used with a would-clause. It is expressing a present complaint about a habitual activity and hoping to cause a change.
I wish you wouldn't be so rude.
I wish you would do you homework before dinner and not wait until the last minute.

It also expresses a present feeling of regret about some past action

I wish I hadn't tweeted that.

or a desire
