How to use the abbreviation?

Hi. How should we use what I think is the abbreviation "AKA"? Let us pretend the letters "XXX" stand for John Doe's other name. Should we use small letters for the abbreviation (I think it is) like "aka" and follow it with a comma?

eg,

Thank you for coming.

John Doe (AKA, XXX)
