How to use "never" with "neither"?

Hello.

If I want to say something like that: "I have never had neither a girlfriend nor kisses" how should I use those words?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, Spinyman. You can say: "I've never had either a girlfriend or been kissed". In English, a double negation is not allowed.

Thanks a lot! But shouldn't it be "I've never had either a girlfriend nor been kissed"?

"Nor" is usually used after using "neither".

Since in that sentence you're using "either" (and not "neither") you may use "or" instead of "nor".

Check this: "I've had neither a girlfriend nor been kissed".

Hi guys,

A few comments about this.

"I've had neither a girlfriend nor been kissed".

If you break this into two sentences, you are saying

I have not had a girl-friend. Fine

Thank you too! May I say this "I've never had either a girlfriend or kisses from any of girls"?

Hi

I believe you can't use both never and neither the way you did; however, you still can them in the same sentence. This can be done the following way:

Frank never went to the beach, neither did I.

You could also move neither to create:

I've neither had a girlfriend nor been kissed.
